I was recently approached for a feature show, but wasn't too happy with the idea: Diljit Dosanjh
'Super Singh' Diljit Dosanjh was in the capital recently to promote his upcoming Punjabi movie along with his leading lady Sonam Bajwa. The two actors, who have worked together in three films now, got candid with TimesOfIndia.com about their experiences and plans of working on TV in the future.
Diljit, who made his debut as a judge on the show 'Rising Star' recently, is already popular among the TV viewers and fans are waiting to see more of him on TV.
When we asked him about his plans on TV's feature shows, he revealed about someone approaching him for one, but how he turned
it down as he wasn't too happy with the idea.
Sonam Bajwa also opened up about what she thinks of TV and what kind of roles she would like to play on small screen.
Exerpts from the interview:
Diljit you have worked on TV as well, you judged rising star. How different was your experience on TV from your experience in films?
Diljit: I never thought it like this. I never cared about the camera, whether it is shooting for TV , social media or film. All that I do, I do it from my heart. Be it on National level, or a song or movie in regional cinema, I give my hundred per cent to everything.
We have read articles about you saying that your mother always wanted to see you on TV. So was that the real reason behind you taking up 'Rising Star'?

Diljit:Yes! My mother always wanted to see me on TV, so I did the show for her.
We have seen you post a lot of comments on Kylie Jenner's pictures and people are saying that you have a secret crush on her. Is that true?
Diljit: Yes! (Smiles)
If you are ever approached for a feature show on TV, would you accept it?
Diljit: I was recently approached for a TV show by someone, but I wasn't really satisfied with the idea and things didn't materialise. If ever I come across a show which is interesting, I would definitely take it.
If a film like Super Singh is made into a series in future, would you want to play the super hero role in it?
Diljit: I have netflix at my home, so if they give that series on Netflix, I will definitely do it.

Ekta Kapoor is one or the producers of 'Super Singh', how does it feel being associated with her?
Sonam Bajwa: Very Good! It's an honour that a banner like Balaji is producing first Punjabi film. I mean nobody really comes in regional cinema and it's a brave attempt. Plus it is a super hero film, Punjab's first super hero film, so we are excited, people have loved our trailer and we are looking forward to June 16.
Sonam how was it working with Diljit in a super hero film? We have seen you two together before, but this sort of a film is new in Punjabi cinema, how was your experience?
Sonam: Very nice. It has always been a pleasure working with Diljit. He is a great actor and performer. When you work with a nice artist, you grow with them, you learn something, you enjoy while you're performing because it's a give and take. You react more than you act, so my experience was really nice. I learnt a lot and this was one of the best experience I have ever had.
